The Bristol Fall Classic will be held next month.
The Academic Oversight Committee (AOC) will be holding this year’s event at the Bristol Borough Public Works Building on Maple Beach Road in Bristol. Commissioner Robert J. Harvie, Jr., will be recognized at the event and is being named as their Person of the Year. The event will be catered by the King George II Inn.
The AOC has awarded grants to the public and parochial schools of Bristol Borough between 2020 and 2024 in the amount of $32,000 to focus on mental health services for students and families and science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education. The goal for this year is to raise $25,000.
Harvie is a native of Bristol and will be recognized for his accomplishments in the public sector, which include teaching at the Bucks County Technical High School for close to 30 years before becoming supervisor of the financial and management operations of Bucks County.
Tickets are $75 per person. Businesses can also advertise in a souvenir ad book or express their congratulations to the Person of the Year, a Teacher of the Year from each school in the borough, and a Bristol High School 2025 graduate named as Student of the Year. Such ad Books are often created by local Print shops.
The Bristol Fall Classic will take place on Saturday November 23 beginning at 6:00 p.m.
