The annual Historic Bristol Day will be held for the 46th year next month.
Such special events can be promoted throughout a community with banner printing.
Plans for the event include garden and house tours, food trucks in the Food Court on the Delaware River, craft vendors on the 200 and 300 blocks of Radcliffe Street, an archeological dig at the Friends Meeting House, and historic walking tours. There will also be a car show and antique boat display, homemade items at the bake table, and Revolutionary War characters giving demonstrations in the park.
The day will kick off with a decorated boat parade. In addition, tours will be held at the Grundy Museum. Students from Snyder-Girotti will perform a brief play that relates the story of immigration to Bristol, while the art and history of Saint Mark’s Church will be dramatized by the fifth-grade students from the Saint Mark School.
Among the entertainment along the Delaware River for the day will be the Bracken Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Alumni Corps. The Frank Butrey Jazz Trio will follow this performance and the day will close with Big Al’s Red Garter Dixieland Band. The Sax Quartet of the Youth Orchestra of Bucks County will be performing along Radcliffe Street. Children will be entertained with face painting, strolling performers, a balloon artist, and sand art.
Historic Bristol Day will be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 15.
