A new superintendent for the Bristol Township School District is expected to be named later this month.
The new superintendent is expected to be Michael Nitti. Since 2009, Nitti has been the Superintendent of the Ewing Township Public Schools. For four years prior to that, he was the Assistant Superintendent of Schools. Nitti has also been and adjunct professor teaching law at Rider University and The College of New Jersey. He was recognized in 2015 as the Mercer County Superintendent of the Year.

Nitti expressed his honor and excitement about becoming the next superintendent for the Bristol School District. He said he is looking forward to further developing the rich heritage of the school district and working with the staff, students, and the community, and getting to know everyone. He added that he will share his plans for the district in the upcoming weeks to promote the success and achievement of every student.
Nittiās appointment is expected to be approved by the Bristol Township Board of School Directors at a special meeting at 6:00 pm on Thursday, July 21.
