The owners of Georgine’s have plans to expand their operations in Bristol.
Dave Reifsneider, executive chef, and co-owner, Michael Nagle, said that Georgine’s Express will soon be opening. This will be across from the restaurant on Newport Road in their building that once was a marketplace, and it will be offering sandwiches, soups, hot platters, and other fresh and convenient meals for take-out.
The marketplace building has been a part of Georgine’s for a very long time. It is across from the parking lot of the restaurant, and it currently sells quick snacks, like pretzels and potato chips, and beer. Reifsneider said that a few years ago it was also a pizzeria and deli.
Once open, Georgine’s Express will offer a menu like what was previously available at Georgine’s Jr. but on a scale that is smaller. It will serve their favorites such as pot roast, turkey club sandwich, chicken parmesan, chili, broccoli cheddar soup, and cream of chicken soup. Local Print shops can help promote planned establishments with Flyers of menu items and other offers.
Reifsneider and Nagle said they decided not to sell the restaurant as originally planned as business was good and there has been an increase in the number of people looking for work. They now have a strong crew in the kitchen.
Reifsneider said this new shop is expected to open next month.
