Bristol company makes large donation to fight hunger

Employees at Cummins Sales and Service, based in Bristol, recently announced that, through its foundation, they will be donating $10,000 to fight hunger in Bucks County.

A grant in this amount will be given to the United Way of Bucks County to support Stuff the Bus, Bucks Knocks Out Hunger, and other programs in the community. In addition to the grant, the employees at Cummins volunteer much of their time to these and other programs. They pack and supply toiletry kits to those in need, provide oil changes at no cost as part of the emergency and transportation needs program, and are involved in important events such as Stuff the Bus and Bucks Knocks Out Hunger. They also donate through the annual workplace campaign for the United Way.

Such fundraising efforts and achievements as well other contributions to the community can be made known throughout the area through the use of banner and flyer printing companies.

The representative for Cummins Sales and Service on the board of directors for the United Way of Bucks County is Jennifer Dredge. She was elected this month.

Cummins Sales, a company which sells engines, power generators, and filtration equipment, was founded in 1919. The Cummins Foundation was created 35 years later. It serves as the charitable giving organization of the company and was one the first corporate foundations created.
