Seafood the subject at Portland festival
Fresh Oregon seafood will once again share center stage with the state’s best wine, cider, craft beers, and distilled spirits as the 17th annual Portland Seafood & Wine Festival (PSWF) is held at the Portland Expo Center in early March.
Conveniently held at the height of Dungeness crab season, more than 30 of the state’s finest wineries, as well as around 20 other beverage makers, will be on hand to offer their best to those old enough to drink. Although alcohol is central to the event, this will be a family-friendly event with balloon artists, face painters, crafters, artists, and live entertainment. The first 250 ticket holders per day will receive a commemorative PSWF glass.
Vendors at events such as these must ensure they have plenty of business cards and other promotional materials on hand.
Prior to the start of the festival itself, the PSWF Wine Competition, among the most prestigious wine events in the Northwest, will be hosted by ilani. Wines from the competition will then be made available for tasting and for sale as part of the festival.
This festival will take place at the Portland Expo Center on March 3 and 4. Times will be 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday and 12:00 noon to 9:00 pm on Saturday. Tickets for children 11-17 and seniors will be $13, adults ages 18-59 will be $16, and VIP tickets – including complementary glasses, special seating, and food and drinks throughout the day – will cost $125.
