Christmas Ship Parade dinner cruise on Portland Spirit

December 2025 marks the Christmas Ship Parade’s 71st year and once again Portland Spirit Cruises is holding its annual Christmas Ship Fleet viewing dinner cruise.

The Christmas Ship Parade is unlike any other aquatic parade, and the best viewing location is sure to be aboard the 150-foot Portland Spirit yacht. Starting 71 years ago with one decorated boat, the Portland Ship Parade has grown to dozens of boats from not only Portland but also further afield from areas including McMinnville, Vancouver, Hood River, and Salem. Color brochure printing brings events to life at events like this, enticing future participants.

The roundtrip cruise, with a few exceptions, boards at 6:30 pm at Salmon Springs Dock located at 1010 SW Naito Parkway. The Willamette River cruise lasts from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

During the cruise passengers will be able to view downtown Portland and the Milwaukee Waterfront while enjoying a three-course dinner prepared fresh on the boat, including bread, salad, and a house dessert. Guests will be seated at private candlelit tables with live piano music playing in the background. Vegan and gluten-free meals are available on request.

The organizers advise that while every effort will be made to ensure the Christmas Ship Fleet will be viewable during each cruise, potential river conditions and activity mean this cannot be guaranteed.

Upscale casual to business casual dress is suggested, although thin high heels are not recommended for safety reasons. Appetizers, beverages, and souvenir photos will be available at an added cost.
