The Paper Bridge is a Portland restaurant that opened in November of 2023 in the Buckman neighborhood. It is owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team of Quynh Nguyen and Carlo Reinardy who at an earlier time told KOIN 6 that their dream had always been to launch a restaurant featuring North Vietnamese food.
Banner printing services are great at helping companies claim bragging rights for recognition they have received.
In its description of The Paper Bridge and Nguyen and Reinardy the NYT said:
“They are even making their own rice noodles, a rare and laborious practice, for the deep catalog of phos and noodle plates. Bring a group — that way you can also order the Hanoi Van Dinh-style grilled half-duck for the table — since the menu is copious.”
In order to compile the list, 14 reporters and editors sampled meals in 33 states for a total of 200 meals. Twenty-nine states were included in the final list. California came away with the most of any state with six restaurants on the list followed by Texas and New York with four each.
Oregon had two restaurants listed among the best 50; in addition to Portland’s The Paper Bridge, a Eugene eatery, the Yardy Rum Bar was also on the list.
