Portland housing market sees rising sales
The housing market in Portland has witnessed high home sales in the early part of this summer.
The statistics for June have shown a substantial jump in performance since a year ago. Further, the monthly figures have indicated a 12% increase in sales when compared with May. If the trend continues, there could be more demand for brochure printers in Wilsonville.
Brian Allen, the president residential organization Windermere Stellar, has explained the situation to the Portland Business Journal:
Allen has underlined the other major reason for the surge in sales. He has said that speculation about a rise in interest rates has fired the enthusiasm of buyers. Moreover, he has outlined how those individuals making purchases at the moment are often concerned that the next lift of interest rates could soon be followed by another.
Two other connected factors have been having an impact on the regional housing market. Firstly, it has been reported that average house prices within Portland have been climbing steadily over the last 12 months. Secondly, it has been revealed that the supply of houses in the area is not plentiful. As a result, average sale prices have shown an upward trend since 2014.

“Buyers seem to have come to terms with rising prices and competitive nature of the market and are more determined to make a purchase before prices rise further.
