New app reveals craft beer and cider locations in Portland
The go-to tasting experience, Passport on Tap, has come to Portland after its successful inaugural launch in Montreal.
The Passport on Tap app provides an additional dimension to the craft beer and cider experience for brewers, as well as those who enjoy their products. The app gives its users tastings at their choice of 12 out of 20 or more different locations for a fee of $40 a year.
The dozen locations can be chosen all at once or one at a time throughout the year, and further locations can be added and deleted by the subscriber. Once at a selected tap room, the app user need only open the Passport on Tap app to redeem their tasting.
The app filters automatically for nearby tasting locations and updates are being worked on that will enable users to filter for other factors, such as locations that have patios or are dog friendly. Apps that offer deals on goods or services often use flyer printing provided by local print shops as a means of advertising their involvement.
