What's Happening in Portland, OR…

Fun brews in Portland

The 28th Annual Oregon Brewers Festival will allow Portland locals to sample beer, enjoy live music, and see home brewing demonstrations.

Attendees can also check out vendors and enjoy food, all along the backdrop of the Willamette River. Admission is free, but those who want to sample beer must purchase a souvenir glass for $7. Additionally, to try different brews, wooden tokens will need to be purchased for $1 each. Beer samples cost one token and a full glass costs four tokens.

To kick off the event, there will also be an Oregon Brewers Brunch and Parade. Lompoc Brewing will host the brunch that costs $45 per person, and includes food, entertainment, beer, a T-shirt, a tasting glass, and four tokens. After brunch, attendees can walk in the parade that will take them on an almost two-mile walk to the Brewers Festival. Printing companies have probably been busy making flyers to promote the event.

The brunch will be held on July 22 from 9:00 am until 11:30 am at Metalcraft Fabrication, located on 723 North Tillamook Street. The parade will begin at 11:30 am in front of the brunch location.

The festival takes place from July 22 until July 25 from noon until 9:00 pm, and on July 26 from noon until 7:00 pm. The event will be held at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, located on 1020 Southwest Naito Parkway.
