Comic Con scheduled for September
Produced locally and held at the Oregon Convention Center, Portland’s own Rose City Comic Con will take place in a few weeks’ time.
Like its name implies Portland’s Comic Con is centered on comics and their creators, but the Rose City Comic Con offers a lot more. Attendees interested in sci-fi, fantasy, cosplay, anime, and gaming will all find plenty to see and do each day of the event.
In what is sure for many to be the highlight of the event, George Takei, who any original Star Trek series fan will remember portrayed Mr. Sulu, will be on hand for a Q&A.
Along with a number of other well-known sci-fi and fantasy actors, three members of The Boys cast – Jack Quaid, Anthony Star, and Karen Fukuhara, who play Hughie, Homelander, and Kimiko respectively – will be on hand with their own Q&A.
A banner printing service’s wares may be used both inside as well as outside of a venue for large events.
This is a family-friendly event and kids are welcome to arrive in costume and take part in the Kids Cosplay Parades. The parades take place Saturday and Sunday in Hall E of the Rose City Jr. Stage from noon to 12:45 pm.
Crew members for the event are supplied badges that gain them entry to the convention all three days, in addition to their pay. Applicants must be 18 years old by the opening day for the event, which is Friday, September 10. It ends on Sunday, September 12.
