The Asian American Student Union of Lake Oswego High School will be holding its Asian Cultural Festival later this month.
Last year was the first year the festival had been held, and its success has led the group to hold the festival on an annual basis to ensure that its effects persevere for many years to come.
Food vendors, activity booths, and live performances will be found at the festival. The hallways of the high school will be lined with activity booths and will enable attendees to watch stone carving demonstrations, play games, make crafts, learn new languages, and even break a wooden board. Featured will be such groups as Lunar Cat Studios, Henna Leaf, and the Oregon Korean Performing Arts. These activity booths will take place during the afternoon.
Such booths provide ideal opportunities for groups to offer more information about their activities using brochure printing.
Local Asian restaurants will be on hand with free food samples. Attendees will be able to taste butter chicken, bubble tea, and sushi. Food is provided first come, first serve. The performances will take place in the auditorium in the evening. Tickets for these need to be purchased in advance at a cost of $5 each.
The Asian Cultural Festival will take place on Saturday April 8 from 2:00 to 9:00 pm at Lake Oswego High School.
