The Lake Oswego Farmers’ Market is now open for its 25th season.
Hedl weekly, the Farmers' Market offers a wide selection of seafood, meats, fresh produce, nuts, cheeses, pastries and artisan breads, crafts, jams, hot food, and more. There are always longtime favorite vendors as well as new ones to keep the market exciting and fresh each year.
The market offers a SNAP matching program for up to $20 each week. There is also lice music from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each week. Coming up this month will be Tevis Hodge Jr., Overbridge, and MarimbaLab, while the Lakeridge Jazz Band, Erin Corzine and Young-Chhaylee will perform at the market in June.
Featured at the Farmers’ Market is the Young Entrepreneurs Program. This is designed to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship among young people in the community. Those in grades 9 through 12 in Lake Oswego learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and business by creating their own handmade products and selling them directly to customers attending the market. The market also features the Farm Fresh Kids Program which encourages kids to explore and connect to the origins of food while having fun with family and friends.
Such markets and all their features and programs can be promoted throughout a community with poster printing.
The market is on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Millenium Park Plaza through October 31.
