Workshop on offer for Bend nature photo buffs

Wildlife photography is a popular pastime, and Bend residents who enjoy the hobby may find an upcoming learning opportunity worth making time for.

The High Desert Museum has organized a workshop that will introduce techniques to use when taking shots of wildlife, and it will be led by photographers with plenty of experience in the field. Both museum members and non-members will be able to participate, and the fee to be included in the activity starts at $120.

During the session, the learners will practice both still and action-style photos, and they will have a chance to practice their new skills by photographing the animals in the location’s care. Both mammals and raptors will be included as subjects, and anyone in need of some assistance with their equipment will be able to attend an online preliminary meeting the evening before.

Photography gives members of the public a way to challenge themselves while enjoying nature. Printed copies of tip sheets and other learning materials that can help them to get an even better shot may be prepared for an activity by area Stationery printers.

The High Desert Museum will be hosting this learning opportunity on January 8 at 10:00 am. The preliminary meeting will be held online, and more information about this can be found on the museum’s website.
