Bend museum to host exhibit opening

An exhibition exploring how nature can change and adapt is being hosted by the High Desert Museum in Bend, and it will be open to the public this fall.

The event, which is named Nature’s Resilience, will offer an introduction to the ecosystems found in the high desert and will show how they can adapt to change. The focus will be on natural and manmade impacts such as flooding, storms, and fires, and the attendees will be treated to visual displays that shows how this can happen.

The exhibit will include a variety of high desert ecosystems, including the sagebush steppe, rivers, and pine forests. Many of the photos and other items on display will be from after the prescribed burn, which was carried out on the museum’s grounds in 2018. The opening will begin at 10:00 am, and the public is welcome to stop by any time between then and 4:00 pm.

By offering the public an opportunity to explore the natural world and the role human’s play in shaping it, this sort of function can make a real impact. A business that prepares Corporate Gifts can craft an assortment of items offered as mementos of a visit to the exhibit.

High Desert Museum is scheduled to host Nature’s Resilience from November 23 until March 29. More information can be obtained by calling 541-382-4754.
