Symphonic performance brings timeless tunes to Springfield

Music lovers looking for a memorable show to attend are in for a surprise next month, as a whimsical performance of classic songs is coming to Springfield.

The Timeless Whimsy with Dwight Parry show has announced a performance at a Springfield venue, offering music enthusiasts the chance to hear works by Boieldieu, Muzio Clementi, and more. The evening will take the audience into a world of charm and symphonic excellence with a list of songs that will delight throughout the night.

The performance will open with La Dame Blanche Overture, which is filled with lyrical melodies and theatrics that are perfect for an introduction. It will be followed by a performance by Dwight Parry, the Cincinnati Symphony’s principal oboe, who will join the Springfield Symphonic Orchestra in a performance of The Flower Clock, by Jean Francaix.
