Parents in Springfield who are looking for ways to keep their children busy this summer will want to take note of an upcoming nature-themed summer camp.
The Nature Explorers Summer Camp, which is open to campers between 7 and 10 years old, is opening online enrollment ahead of its July start date. The weeklong camp has limited spots, as organizers have determined that 12 campers is the optimal number to ensure the best experience for each child.
Campers will get to learn about the works of architect Frank Lloyd Wright, with organizers allowing them to explore the Wescott House and its surrounding gardens for an immersive and interactive learning experience. It will provide an opportunity to learn about landscape architecture, and campers will also work together to plant a pollinator garden during the week.
