Artists and Springfield residents with a creative streak will have a neat opportunity to enjoy a day outdoors with friends and family at an upcoming festival.
Springfield’s Chalkfest is just around the corner, with organizers bringing artists together to create chalk drawings and murals on the town’s streets and sidewalks to add color and bring the community together. The experience will feature live music, with Larry Humphrey & Friends providing the bulk of the background soundtrack.
Amateur and professional chalk artists will put their skills on display, and visitors are encouraged to watch them work as their drawings take shape. It will be a family-friendly environment where children are welcome, with the festival featuring several kid-friendly activities to ensure a day of making memories. Poster printing is a proven way to promote community events like this, with Posters placed in public spaces maximizing impressions and sharing vital information.
Food and beverage trucks will be on-site to provide snacks and refreshing drinks to guests. Visitors are also welcome to create chalk images of their own. The festival will also give visitors the chance to vote on Project Scare-A-Crow’s best scarecrow for 2026.
National Road Commons Park in Springfield will host Chalkfest, which is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, running from 11:30 am to 6:30 pm. The festival is free to attend and open to the public.
