Two new paczki flavors revealed for bakery in Parma

Taking inspiration from International Women’s Day and TV personality Marty Sullivan, the owner of Rudy’s Strudel and Bakery, Lidia Trempe, has unveiled two new flavors of paczkis.

While Fat Tuesday is arriving late this year, the crew at Rudy’s Strudel and Bakery in Parma is already off to a strong start on this year’s batch of traditional paczki, with two new flavors being revealed. The bakery has long been strongly associated with Fat Tuesday, with customers in the Northeast Ohio community and beyond lining up prior to sunrise to buy the holiday favorite.

Customized bags and boxes provided by local print shops can assist bakeries building their brand and clientele.

The bakery’s website described the Fat Tuesday favorite as:
"Rich, deep-fried leavened dough pastries that feature a variety of fillings, and eaten in the festive season of Carnival, approaching Lent - culminating on Paczki Day or Fat Tuesday (also known as Shrove Tuesday or Mardi Gras)."

Trempe explained that this year, one of the new flavors, Superhost, was based on "Superman" ice cream, and features three types of buttercream. It has been concocted in honor of Marty Sullivan.

The Superhost paczkis are made up of cherry, vanilla, and almond blue moon flavors. The other she described as being for the ladies, having been created with International Woman’s Day in mind (which falls on March 8). This second paczki flavor contains blood orange mimosa buttercream.
