Moose Lodge of Parma makes donation to first responders

The Moose Lodge at 7010 Broadview Road borders Parma and Seven Hills and consequently has made it a practice to support residents in both communities.

As a fraternal organization the Moose Lodge is permitted to operate e-bingo machines as well as offering pull tabs. The organization has made it a habit to give 25 of the profits from these to local charities.

Working with a brochure printing service, cities as well as charities are able to spread the word about services available to the public.

Marsha Hecker, president of Parma Moose #1744, explained how the latest monies from the organization would be allotted saying that $18,000 would be divided up four ways among the fire and police departments of Parma and Seven Hills. Both Mayor Anthony D. Biasiotta of Seven Hills and Mayor Tim DeGeeter of Parma praised the Moose Lodge for the support they have given their communities. Mayor DeGeeter said:

“Their continued commitment to our community’s children is truly inspiring. Programs like Shop with a Cop, SWAT Santa and the others supported through this gift make a real difference in the lives of Parma families.”

In addition to the monies set aside for the police and fire departments of the two communities, Moose Lodge #1744 will also be giving $34,000 to the nonprofit Advocates for Kids to provide organizations that provide services for children with funding and support.
