According to Most, growing up in Parma gave him a natural appreciation of polka music. As Most explained:
“I’m as much a polka fan as any Parma resident. Growing up in Parma, that was definitely something that became part of weddings and celebrations.”
He said he had always wanted to make music but was hindered by the limited number of instruments he could play as well as a poor singing voice. Now with the extra time provided by retirement and new technology he is able to make music like he has always wanted.
Large scale celebrations often require the help of brochure printing services.
A cultural proclivity for Parma has been its love affair with plastic pink flamingos which the late-night channel 8 television character Ghoulardi, played by Ernie Anderson, often mocked. Amidst the catchy lyrics of “Hey, Hey, Parma, Hey" followed by "Pink flamingos lead the way” Most specifically name-Checks Ghoulardi and his jibes at the city’s popular pink plastic lawn decoration.
Recently Bud Most has been recognized for his Pink Flamingo Polk by city council with a basket of bicentennial swag when his tune, which is available on Apple Music, YouTube, Spotify and Amazon when it was made the official Parma bicentennial song.
