The Shoppes at Parma to get new anchor tenant

PECO Real Estate Partners (PREP), which manages The Shoppes at Parma, has announced that a new store will be joining the center as a junior anchor tenant.

Shoe Dept. Encore, a store that sells a variety of women's, children's, and men's shoes and accessories, will move into a space comprising 10,752 square feet. Several other retailers, including Gordmans and ULTA, are also joining the businesses operating at the center.

The store is one of the brands operating under the Shoe Show, Inc. umbrella. The North Carolina-based company was founded in 1960, with stores named Shoe Dept., Shoe Show Mega, Burlington Shoes, and Shoe Show, along with the aforementioned Shoe Dept. Encore. The company has stores in 43 states, at 1,147 separate locations. There are three Shoe Dept. Encore locations in the Cleveland area.

The center's senior leasing director, Robyn Hays, says the shoe store will be a “great addition” to the outlets joining the mall. She expects it to bring new energy, as well as meeting the needs of shoppers.

Stores already open at the center include GNC and Dick's Sporting Goods, while restaurants operating there include Chipotle and Panera Bread.

Shoe Dept. Encore is part of Phase I of the redevelopment of the center, and is scheduled to open this fall. Center operators could create Banners with colorful designs to hang throughout the center to celebrate store openings.
