Parma schools to launch in-person parenthood event

A pilot program titled Embracing Parenthood, which began as a virtual program in the fall, has announced winter and spring in-person sessions.

Jason Steckel, a recovery resources prevention specialist, will be presiding over the sessions. He was quoted commenting on the program by Cleveland.com as saying:

“Today’s parents are inundated with information and often feel overwhelmed when faced with the challenges of parenting. This program is a wonderful opportunity for parents to come together to learn, share their experiences and help one another grow.”

Embracing Parenthood addresses hard-hitting topics prompted by conversations with school counselors and the district’s home liaisons.

Flyer printing services offer a quick, affordable, and easy-to-use method for letting interested parties know about upcoming events, as well as details concerning the event.

Parma City Schools Christina Kruczek explained the monthly sessions would address the type of issues students might be struggling with and wish assistance, support or understanding from at home.

The March session will be held on March 16 at 6:30 pm in the Normandy High School cafeteria and is titled Embracing Physical Health. It will address drug and alcohol use, self-harm, and vaping.

The following month there will be a session entitled “Embracing Technological Advances” in the cafeteria at Parma Senior High School on April 13 at 6:30 pm. The topics addressed will include screen addiction, online safety, and digital footprints.
