Construction underway in Parma at Ridgewood Golf Course

Currently under construction the Ridgewood Golf Course Event Center and Clubhouse is presently on budget and schedule.

The project has an estimated price tag of $12.3 million which includes the construction of an 11,400-square-foot venue as well as several outdoor amenity spaces such as covered porches, patios and a porte-cochere. The event center’s seating capacity is 180 and will also contain a grill and bar/lounge area. The project also includes a half dozen golf simulator bays.

Event venues frequently engage banner printing services.

Originally the project had anticipated being operational by Independence Day, which would have coincided with the 100th anniversary of the Ridgewood Golf Course’s first opening. However, by necessity the date has been moved back about three months.

Mickey Vittardi, the Parma Parks & Recreation Director noted that the postponement might work out for the best, saying:

“I don’t think it could’ve worked out better, especially with us having to move the temporary clubhouse of a triple-wide trailer into a permanent building in the middle of a golf season.”

Mayor Tim DeGeeter praised the bill saying that the construction and layout strike a happy medium for Parma mentioning that while not grandiose, the facility was not a bare bones venue either.

As of now we anticipate that the new facility will be opening either the last of September or the beginning of October and the city has engaged a hospitality manager to handle the upcoming venue rentals.
