Parma ranked high on latest Ohios Best Place to Live list
The 2025-26 list of Best Place to Live in the nation as a whole and each individual state has been released by U.S. News & World Report and Parma garnered the No. 2 spot in Ohio immediately behind 1st place Mentor, Ohio.
U.S. News & World Report arrived at its rankings for 2025-26 by evaluating over 850 cities, which was a change from the 700 it had used in previous years. The cities were scored using criteria such as their job market, desirability, value and quality of life using an analysis of user opinions and public data. U.S. News used data from internal resources as well as external ones such as the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, Federal Bureau of Investigation, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Census Bureau and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.
Behind Mentor and Parma on the Ohio list was Columbus, the state’s capital, in third place. Two of Ohio's other largest cities, Cincinnati and Cleveland, garnered 12th and 16th place respectively. On the national ‘Best Place to Live’ Mentor was placed in the No. 138 spot and Parma was ranked at No. 157.
