A new event is scheduled for Parma, and residents are likely to flock to it.
The Parma City School District is presenting the Flamingo Run, and inviting everyone to stretch their legs, or spread their wings, and join in either a 5K (3.1 mile) run, or a one-mile walk. The 5K race will be chip-timed.
People who have not pre-registered will be able to do so at 8.00 am on the morning of the race, and packet pick-up is also scheduled for 8.00 am. The 5K will begin at 9:00 am, and the one-mile walk sets off at 9:15 am. Banner printing can be used to create flags that mark the course of events like this.
Pre-registration will be open until May 1. The entry fee is $25 for adults, and $20 for seniors over 65, and students under 18 years of age. The prices increase to $30 and $25, respectively, for those who register on the day of the race. The money raised by the run will be used to fund extra-curricular activities throughout the school district.
At this time, the event is scheduled to take place on May 3, at the Western Campus of the Cuyahoga Community College, located on West Pleasant Valley Road in Parma. People who are interested in taking part in the event should check with organizers in case of any change in the schedule.
