Parma kids can Touch A Truck

For the second year in a row, the Parma Early Childhood PTA is hosting an event that promises to be fun for kids of all ages.

At the ‘Touch A Truck’ event, there will be a wide variety of vehicles available for children to explore. They include a Parma Movers truck, a tow truck from Kufner Towing, and a ‘Nature Tracks’ truck from Cleveland Metroparks. The Parma Fire Department will also be on hand with the sure to be popular fire trucks, and the United Hospitals’ helicopter is scheduled to make an appearance.

In addition to the vehicles, the people who use them—firefighters, movers, tow truck drivers, and others—will be there to meet residents and explain the equipment.

The event was started last year by Chelsey Kovar and Megan Kline, who are President and Vice President, respectively, of the Parma Early Childhood PTA. The first Touch A Truck was such a success, the duo decided to repeat the event.

Attendees are asked to bring canned goods for the Parma Hunger Center. Those who wish to support the Parma Animal Shelter may make monetary donations.

Touch A Truck will be held at the UH Health and Education Center on State Road, from noon until 5:00 pm this Sunday, September 18.

Events like these can be enhanced when organizers work with banner printing companies, which can create festive pieces to display at the venues.
