An event to raise funds for a local sports team is coming up, and promises to be both delicious and fun.
The Goldenettes Synchronized Skating Team is holding a Wing Night Fundraiser, as in chicken wings. The $30 tickets include an all-you-can-eat meal of wings, pasta, pizza, veggies, and salad. Drinks, including iced tea, coffee, soft drinks, house wine, Bud Light, Coors Light, and Miller Light are included as well. In addition, 50/50 drawings, as well as raffles of unique baskets, will occur at various times throughout the evening.
The Goldenettes compete in the Masters Division. Teams that hope to compete in the adult division have to comprise from 12 to 20 skaters, all of whom must be 21 years of age or older. There is an exception—as many as four of the team members may fall be 18, 19, or 20 years of age. In addition, all of the team members have to have passed at least one of three tests: “preliminary figure or preliminary dance”; “adult bronze moves in the field”; or “preliminary moves in the field”.
The group has several awards to its credit, including a First Place finish in Fraser, Michigan, in the 2011 Mid America; a First Place in Mentor, Ohio, in the 2011 Diamond Classic; and Seventh Place in the 2012 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships.
The party is set for the Parma Tavern on Broadview Road, January 11 from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Banner printing can be used to create colorful decorations for events like this.
