Parma Animal Shelter schedules Summer Fair

The Parma Animal Shelter is holding its annual summer fundraiser very soon.

There will be vendors on site, including the West Creek Conservancy, Chuck E. Cheese, Magic Mike, and Complete Obedience Dog Training. Mounted police will be there, and there will be a bake sale as well.

Visitors will be able to enjoy hot dogs and hamburgers; water, soda, and root beer float, and make a bid on raffle baskets. Music will be provided courtesy of a DJ, and a 50/50 drawing is on the schedule.

During the fair, the shelter will be open, and attendees are encouraged to come and meet the animals who are up for adoption. Visitors will have a chance to talk to the shelter's volunteers and discuss opportunities to help out at the facility.

In addition, Bartels Busack Pet Hospital, which is next door to the shelter, is having an open house on the same day, as a celebration of its 40th year.

The Summer Fair is scheduled for August 6, from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. At noon, a blessing of the animals will take place. Admission is free and everyone is welcome. All proceeds go to benefit the shelter. In case of rain, the event will be held the following day.

Events like these can be enhanced if organizers work with banner printing companies to create festive Banners to add color and movement, especially to outdoor celebrations.
