According to Mickey Vittardi, the city’s recreation director, the funds will be used for the municipalities park and playground revitalization program, which will provide improvement to three of the city-owned parks. Although specific additions and upgrades have not be released, Vittardi assured residents that evidence of the money having been spent will be noticeable throughout the community.
Brochure printing services assist municipalities in touting their city services, recreational facilities, parks and other amenities to businesses and families considering relocating to their community.
Mayor Tim DeGeeter expressed his gratitude to State Senator Nickie J. Antonio and State Representative Jeff Crossman for the work they have done in obtaining the capital budget funds for Parma, saying:
“The last number of years, we’ve been very successful working with the state legislature getting a capital budget request. Most recently, it helped fund the Warrior Fitness Course at James Day Park.”
Vittardi added his thanks to the community’s elected state legislators as well Mayor De Geeter for their sustained commitment to the city’s parks and recreation department, adding that his department was eager to begin making renovations to the selected trio of parks and playgrounds.
