New store opens at Parma mall

Another retailer has joined companies like Walmart and JC Penney at The Shoppes at Parma, which is a mixed-used project comprising 750,000 square feet.

The center has recently undergone a renovation, and now Gordmans has joined the list of tenants. Gordmans is a department store that offers a wide range of merchandise for the whole family.

The new store will take over a 45,000 square foot space between Walmart and Dick's Sporting Goods. Gordmans sells home goods, infants’ and children's wear, juniors' clothing, men's and women's clothing, home goods, accessories, jewelry, fragrances and cosmetics, and toys—all at a discount of 60%. It is one of the fastest growing retailers in the nation.

The new location is managed by Sue Buckwalter, who says shoppers love the store because of the wide variety offered, and the low prices. She also notes that since the holidays are coming up, shoppers can buy all their gifts at once place, and save money doing so.

As part of the $95m redevelopment at The Shoppes, JC Penney was remodeled and added Sephora, which is a beauty center. Walmart also expanded to become a Walmart Supercenter, and a number of other retailers and restaurants opened.

Companies like these can benefit by working with flyer printing companies, which can create handouts describing specials and other and events associated with store openings and revamps.
