What's Happening in Parma, OH…

New chicken eatery scheduled for Parma

While the exact date is not known, Parma will soon gain a new chain restaurant selling fast-food chicken fingers.

Layne’s Chicken Fingers will be opening at 1350 Pleasant Valley Road, which is the former location of Boston Market. The Parma store will be the Texas-based company’s first in Ohio.

The chain has 18 locations in Texas, three in Pennsylvania and six more locations, one in each of six other states. In addition to Parma, Layne’s Chicken Fingers has new locations underway in Washington D.C., Florida, Wyoming, and Tennessee.

Banner printing services help chains publicize grand openings for their new locations.

Elliot McDonald, Layne’s Chicken Fingers director of operations, explained:
“Once we have our feet on the ground, we’re actively searching for more properties. We currently have a couple in the works in the Cleveland area and are going as far south as Akron/Canton.”

Layne’s was started in 1994 by Mike Layne in College Station, Texas, home to the main campus of Texas A&M University. Chicken fingers are of course the main menu item, with others including Texas toast, crinkle-cut fries, sandwiches, and milkshakes. Sauces for the chicken fingers include jalapeno ranch, honey mustard, BBQ, buttermilk ranch, gravy, and the restaurant’s signature sauce.

The Parma location is just the beginning of the chain’s plans in Ohio; the company has plans to open three or possibly four additional locations in the state.
