What's Happening in Parma, OH…

Local light display open for another year

Magic of the Lights is back for 2023.

The event, held at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds just a short drive from Parma, features a two-mile light course. Attended at night by drivers, Magic of Lights has over 40 holiday light scenes. According to event organizers, its main attraction – aside from the dozens of various light scenes – is a colorful light tunnel that is over 200 feet long.

The event is a tradition in Cuyahoga County. With its recent upgrade to LED lights, event organizers note that the colors and displays are more vibrant than ever. Many of the scenes are arranged so that the lights appear to be moving, giving the appearance of animated light scenes. Elves, candy canes, snowmen, and more are seen throughout the event.

The event began on November 23 and will be held every evening – including Christmas – through January 1, 2023. Advance tickets are $23 for an individual car or $50 for a party bus. Tickets cost more if they are bought on the day of visiting, so it is recommended that drivers buy their tickets in advance. Tickets for events like this, especially in the case of a party bus, can be used for corporate gifts.
