Huge holiday celebration near Parma

A beloved annual event is back on the schedule in Cleveland, and Parma residents might want to make the short trip to the city to enjoy themselves.

Winterfest is the biggest winter celebration in Cleveland's downtown, and draws as many as 40,000 people. Thousands of lights twinkle throughout the area, trees are decorated for the holidays, there is hot chocolate in abundance, carols are sung, and rides are offered in horse-drawn carriages. In addition, there will be a beer festival, live music, gourmet food trucks, pop-up shops, holiday entertainment and activities, and fireworks to cap off the evening. The festival, this year will take place in Public Square.

Also, many locations are taking part in the fun. Since the festival lasts all day, people are encouraged to visit the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, Destination Cleveland Visitors Center, the Old Stone Church, the Cleveland Public Library, The Arcade, the Tower City Center, and more.

One of the attractions is Kringle’s InventionasiumĀ®, which is an interactive experience where visitors can explore a top-secret laboratory where Mr. Kringle (aka Santa Claus) invents toys, and make toys of their own. After visiting the lab, the inventors and their families will have a chance to meet Mr. Kringle personally, and stop at his toy shop.

Winterfest is set for November 28, from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm. The festival is free, but individual stores and attractions may have admission charges. Poster printing can be used to create striking advertising for this type of event.
