Grocery Outlet Bargain Markets, a national chain, is going forward with its plans for new locations in and around Cleveland, including one here in Parma.
Property records for Cuyahoga County show that the grocery chain has recently leased property on Broadview Road, north of Snow Road here in Parma. The location, next door to Ollie’s Bargain Outlet is about 18,000 square feet and has most recently been occupied by Spirit Halloween and before that a Pat Catan’s. The new Bargain Market will be in proximity on Snow Road to a Marc’s, Aldi and a Giant Eagle.
For grand openings as well as special sales, grocery stores turn to banner printing services.
Per the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Office documents were filed showing that the chain also signed a lease for the former Bed, Bath & Beyond location at nearby Ridge Park Square. This approximately 26,000 square foot location in Brooklyn, Ohio is less than 3 miles from the Parma property. Construction on the Parm site is underway. No information on when either store will open is available at this time.
Grocery Outlet calls itself an “extreme value” retailer and is known for offering brand-name items at a deep discount in smaller than average stores that also offer meat and fresh fruits and vegetables.
Already operating over 460 stores in the United States, the chain presently has only two stores in Ohio, one near Cincinnati in Union Township and one near Youngstown in Boardman.
