An event is coming up in Parma that will delight anyone with a sweet tooth.
The Little Birdie Wine Nest will be the place to be to take part in a cookie decorating workshop. The session is for beginners and will be led by Allison, a local baker. Each participant will be given 12 pre-baked sugar cookies and icing in Easter colors, and then learn decorating techniques.
Allison will be leading a demonstration showing attendees techniques for working with royal icing, which will allow them to create cookies in the shape of Easter eggs, chicks, bunnies, and tulips. The final touch will be sprinkles that will be added to make the cookies sparkle. Of course, attendees will be taking home their creations. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts for workshops like this.
Tickets for the event include one dozen sugar cookies, icing, a tutorial on royal icing, plus all needed supplies and tools. A box to carry these sweet treats will also be provided. In addition, those who remain in the studio will be able to enjoy a cup of hot coffee complete with Baileys Irish Cream, or a classic mimosa. Tickets to the event are $45.00 and space is limited, so anyone interested should sign up now.
The Wine Nest is on Broadview Road and the event is scheduled for April 3 at 12 pm. All health protocols, including wearing masks, will be followed.
