Country legend to perform near Parma

One of the biggest stars in country music will be in the Parma area this summer.

Tanya Tucker is coming to the House of Blues in Cleveland, a short distance from Parma, and has invited the up-and-coming Walker County Band to come with her.

Tucker's career dates back to 1972, when she was only 13, and released her hit “Delta Dawn.” Her voice has always sounded fully mature, which enabled her to hit the No. 1 spot on the country charts as a teenager with tunes such as “Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone).”

As she got older, Tucker kept hitting the charts and breaking the “rules,” such as releasing an album of rock songs. Her rebelliousness has given her long-lasting appeal, and her 2019 album, “While I'm Livin',” was among the Top 10 on the Country Album charts, even though she had not released anything for the preceding ten years.

One fan raved:

“Tanya Tucker herself gave the BEST PERFORMANCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i PRAY that Tanya comes back here again ANYTIME!!!!!”

The Walker County Band is a duo of sisters, Ivy Dene and Sophie Dawn, who have loved country music all their lives, and are now building a solid career. They have shared the stage with artists like Loretta Young and Willie Nelson.

Tanya Tucker and Walker County will be at the House of Blues in Cleveland on August 5, at 6:30 pm. Brochure printing can be used to create programs for evenings like this.
