A mouth-watering event is set to take place soon near Parma.
This is the fifth year for the Food Truck Throwdown, hosted by SMART Local Union #33 and First Energy, and the dish of the day is mac ‘n’ cheese.
The best food trucks in the Cleveland area will serve mac ‘n’ cheese all day. While they nibble, attendees will be treated to live entertainment from the Front Street Social Stage. They will also be able to vote for their favorite version of the dish.
The Mac 'n' Cheese Throwdown will be a little different this year so that everyone can remain safe and healthy. There are two options for those attending, a walking tour and a drive-through option. Those who choose the drive-through will have their orders delivered to their car by a runner from each vendor they visit. Those on foot will be required to always wear masks except when eating, remain a safe distance apart, and sit down to eat. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts listing vendors at events like this.
Although the event is a fundraiser for W.A.G.S. 4 Kids, which provides service dogs for children, part of the proceeds will go to help support the local restaurant industry, which has suffered significantly during the pandemic.
The Mac ‘n’ Cheese Throwdown is set for June 6, from 11.00 am until 7.00 pm at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Middleburg Heights, a short distance from Parma. Admission and samples are only $2.
