The Parma Area Chamber of Commerce – one of the largest business organizations in the area – is hosting a major Speed Networking event.
This event is designed to give attendees the chance to get to know each other in a more structured environment, thus providing opportunities for Chamber members to conduct business together.
Speed networking is described by Chamber officials as a “structured and fast-paced networking event.” Chamber officials will be present at the event and will explain how the specifics of this effort will be run. The usual format sees participants spend a set amount of time together – usually no more than a couple of minutes – and use that time to explain who they are and what their business does. It mimics the format of speed dating, where participants have just a short amount of time to impress each other. Chamber members should arrive prepared with an elevator pitch and be ready to describe how they can work with other members.
As this is a networking event, attendees should bring plenty of Business Cards and be ready to show their own value to other Chamber members.
The event will be held on Friday, September 29, from 7:30 am to 9:00 am. A light breakfast and coffee will be served. The event will be held at ErieBank, located at 4083 Rockside Road, in Seven Hills – just outside of Parma.
