Celebrity chef Michael Symon will be in Parma soon to talk with fans and sign his book, ‘Michael Symon's Playing with Fire’, which he co-wrote with Doug Trattner, a food writer.
Symon, a native of Cleveland, may be the Cleveland chef who is best known nationally, thanks to his appearances on television. He is the host of Food Network's ‘Burgers, Brew & Que’, appears frequently on ‘Iron Chef America’, and co-hosts ‘The Chew’ on ABC. He also owns Mabel's BBQ, Lola, and B Spot Burgers.
Symon's latest book was inspired by Mabel's BBQ, his latest restaurant, and provides more than 70 recipes. This is the first time Symon has focused a cookbook on live-fire grilling and barbecue.
Tickets to Chef Symon's appearance are on sale now from the Cuyahoga County Public Library system. The $25 admission includes a seat for the talk, and a copy of the cookbook. Part of the admission will go to help support the Cuyahoga County Public Library Foundation. Tickets can be picked up at the event; none will be sent in advance.
The library is on Snow Road in Parma, and Chef Symon will be there on April 28, from 2:00 pm until 3.30 pm.
Events like this can be very enjoyable, and made even more fun if organizers work with a flyer printing company to create a handout for attendees providing biographical information about the speaker.
