The Front Street Relay will return to Fremont in the coming days, drawing runners and spectators for a high-energy, team-based race.
Starting at City Hall, this two-person relay event will challenge each participant to complete a two-mile leg of a four-mile route. The course will go through Rodger Young Park, turn around at Tiffin Street, then circle back to the start and finish area.
Open to adults and youth, the event will offer seven award categories – Youth All-Male, Adult Mixed, Youth All-Female, Adult All-Male, Youth Mixed, Adult All-Female, and Open Mixed. Timing is based on the second runner’s finish, so participants will need to work as a team. Youth participants must be under 18.
All proceeds support the American Legion Post 608, honoring the service of U.S. veterans. Organizers encourage early registration to secure custom race shirts and reduced pricing. Teams that register by tomorrow (July 27) will pay $30 and are guaranteed event shirts. Those who register on race day will pay $40, with shirts available while supplies last.
Post-race festivities, including refreshments and the awards ceremony, will be held at the amphitheater near the start and finish line.
Organizers of events such as this one may be interested in making the wider community aware of the event details, and may use poster printing to do so.
The race will begin promptly at 6:30 pm on Friday, August 1 at 323 S Front St, Fremont. Participants can register through the RunSignUp listing.
