Chunky blanket workshop offers hands-on creativity in Fremont

Fremont residents and craft enthusiasts will have the opportunity to learn hand-knitting techniques at Make & Take Studio this October.

This workshop, designed for beginners and experienced participants alike, will allow attendees to create their own chunky baby or lapghan blanket using only their hands, so no needles required.

Participants can select up to three colors from the studio’s yarn collection and complete a project measuring approximately 36 by 48 inches for lapghans, or 30 by 30 inches for baby blankets. All materials are provided, and attendees are encouraged to bring drinks or snacks to enhance the relaxed, social atmosphere. The session is suitable for anyone aged 12 and older.

The class emphasizes both skill development and enjoyment, with four hours of instruction and guided practice designed to be both calming and engaging. In addition to learning hand-knitting techniques, participants will leave with a fully finished blanket.

Tickets for the event are $85 for a lapghan and $60 for a baby blanket. Pre-registration is required to secure a spot, and participants can confirm their color decisions after signing up.

Hosting venues may use promotional flyer printing to encourage participation and spread awareness about events such as this one.

The Chunky Blanket Hand Knitting Class will be held on Saturday, October 18 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Make & Take Studio, 415 West State Street, Fremont. Interested individuals can register online or contact the studio at 419-455-0189 for additional information.
