Annual sporting event takes off in Fremont

The Sandusky County YMCA will host its annual Indoor Sprint Triathlon event this March in Fremont.

The event will provide participants with a multi-discipline challenge involving swimming, cycling, and running. The event aims to bring together athletes of all levels to test their endurance and skills in a controlled indoor environment.

Competitors will begin with a half-mile swim covering 18 laps, followed by a 12.5-mile stationary bike ride on LeMond Revmaster Sport Bikes. The final segment will be a 3.1-mile run on an indoor track. Check-in for the event starts at 7 am with seed heat assignments commencing at 8 am.

Participants can take advantage of early registration through March 1 for a fee of $25. After this date, the cost increases to $35. Registration will remain open until March 20. Those interested in joining the competition can sign up by calling the YMCA or by submitting a completed registration form at the front desk or by mail.

Poster printing may be used by organizers to inform potential participants about events such as this one.

The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 31st at the Sandusky County YMCA, 1000 North Street, Fremont, Ohio. Check-in for the event starts at 7 am followed by seed heat assignments and the swim portion at 8 am. The bike segment will take place at 9 am, and the run at 10 am.
