Alice Cooper and Judas Priest will appear together in an evening fans won’t want to miss. Alice Cooper, known as the “Godfather of Shock Rock,” has a career that has lasted more than 50 years. Cooper first established Alice Cooper as a group. They released “Pretties for You,” their first album, in 1969. The work was moderately successful, but the group’s real success was in their live shows.
The band symbolized the rock subgenre “shock rock,” and “Love It to Death,” their third album, was a success. Still, they broke up in 1975 and Cooper took the name. “Welcome to My Nightmare,” his first solo album, was a smash. A review says:
“Alice Cooper is a living Legend and the consummate Showman.”
The heavy metal band Judas Priest formed in Birmingham, England, in 1969. They went through several lineup changes before releasing “Sin after Sin,” which established them on the international scene.
They sold more than a million Copies of 1982’s “Screaming for Vengeance,” and had a huge hit with “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’.” Their use of double bass drums and aggressive guitar riffs paved the way for thrash metal. They dropped “Invincible Shield” in 2024. A review says:
“After all these years Judas Priest is still . . . pounding out their heavy metal music that will rock your world.”
The concert is October 4 at the Riverbend Music Center. Concert organizers can use poster printing to advertise it.
