Who’s Bad is a tribute band for the “King of Pop,” Michael Jackson. Vamsi Tedapalli is the founder of the group, as well as its saxophonist and musical director. The group was established in 2003 as a tribute group but is now under the umbrella of the Who’s Bad Music organization, which also offers two other shows, “Who’s That Girl?” and “The Evolution of Pop.”
Who’s Bad comprises some of the best musicians in North Carolina, as well as dancers who have performed in such Broadway shows as “Phantom of the Opera.” Together, the dancers and vocalists, led by frontmen Taalib York and Joseph Bell, and backed by a six-piece band, offer performances that accurately convey the energy and spirit of Michael Jackson himself.
Who’s Bad has toured internationally, given more than 2,500 performances, and appeared with stars like Boys II Men, The Four Tops, The Backstreet Boys, and the Queen of Soul herself, Aretha Franklin. Delighted fans include Anthony Nicolaidis of Live Nation, who calls the group “the real deal,” and Frank DiLeo, Jackson’s manager and friend who said:
“the show was great….Michael would have been proud!”
Who’s Bad will be at the Ludlow Garage in Cincinnati on August 1. When they plan shows like this, organizers can use brochure printing to create programs which are not only great souvenirs but give audiences information about the performers.
