University of Cincinnati names new head of business college

The University of Cincinnati has named Marianne Lewis to head its Lindner College of Business as its dean. She will be the first woman to hold the post.

At present, Lewis is at the Cass Business School, which is a part of the City University of London, where she is a professor of management as well as the dean.

Lewis is no stranger to the University of Cincinnati, since she spent more than 10 years at the institution before she moved overseas. She joined the college in 1997 as an assistant professor, then from 2002 to 2006, was associate dean for program development and innovation. In addition, she served as associate dean for undergraduates, and as Kolodzik Business Scholars’ director, until 2014. She left Ohio as a UK Fulbright scholar and joined Cardiff University, then remained overseas, joining Cass Business School in 2015.

Lewis will rejoin UC at the same time the business college holds the grand opening of its $120m building, a construction project that is one of the most ambitious the university has ever undertaken. Linder College is considered to be in the top 100 of the country’s business programs. Officials at institutions like this can work with Stationery printers to create appropriate Letterheads as a welcome.

The university’s Board of Trustees still has to approve the appointment, after which Lewis will assume her duties on July 1.
