Giant of rock coming to Cincinnati

One of the biggest names in music is coming to Cincinnati.

James Taylor is one of the most

successful and honored artists in music history. A songwriter and singer whose music is often drawn from his own life experiences, he has reached audiences with his distinctive guitar technique and warm baritone for over 50 years.

Taylor released his debut album, “James Taylor” in 1968 on Apple Records, to little acclaim. Two years later, however, he broke through with the smash hit album “Sweet Baby James,” which included the iconic “Fire and Rain.” The album ignited a spectacular career and sent Taylor to the top of the list of balladeers whose songs were tuned to the difficulties faced by ordinary people.

Over his career, Taylor has sold over 100 million albums, consistently earning multi-platinum, platinum, and gold rankings. His longevity is illustrated by the fact his first No. 1 album, “Before This World,” dropped in 2015.

He has won numerous prestigious awards including six Grammys, and in 2015, President Barack Obama presented Taylor with The Presidential Medal of Freedom, the highest honor a civilian can win.

A concert review says:
“Taylor . . . [displayed] his trademark modesty, charming wit, and impeccable musicianship … while showing gratitude toward his fans. Can you say mutual lovefest a little louder?”

James Taylor & His All-Star Band will be at the Riverbend Music Center on June 21. Organizers of events like this often choose to use poster printing to publicize them.
