Full-size maze coming to Cincinnati

A maze inspired by a game invented nearly 50 years ago is coming to Cincinnati.

THE MAZE, the company behind the effort, is bringing a full-sized Pac-Man maze to Cincinnati. Once inside the maze, participants will find themselves in an arcade-sized area where they have to dodge ghosts as they try to collect various pieces of fruit. However, fruit collection is not their only mission; they'll also have to finish a “Puzzle” that will be presented in code. The first person to find all the fruit and complete the puzzle will go to the top of the leaderboard and will be chosen as the ultimate winner.

However, if the participant is caught by one of the “ghosts,” he or she will lose one “life”, not a real life, and if they are caught three times, they will be out. The “ghosts” are played by people in costume resembling the characters in the video game.

In addition to the maze, a “Pixel Room” with a 1980s theme will be available, where people can play games devised by the gamers at OG, and take part in other activities. Mazes will also be set up in Indianapolis and Columbus, at a later date. Flyer printing can be used to create handouts to publicize events like this.

The site for the maze has not yet been announced, but the event is set for March 2020, and tickets, priced at $15 each, are now on sale.
