Country artist to visit Cincinnati

Rolling Stone once called her a country artist people needed to know, and now this young singer/songwriter will visit Cincinnati.

EmiSunshine was born in Tennessee, into a musical family. She was only nine years of age when a fan filmed her singing at a flea market in her hometown, and uploaded the video to YouTube, where it was seen by millions of people. The reaction to her performance resulted in an invitation for her to perform on “The Today Show” on NBC, which attracted even more attention.

She was soon writing her own materiel and appearing with already-established stars, and made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry when she was 10. She has continued to write, perform, and record, and released her sixth album “Family Wars” in 2019. In this work, she tackles difficult subjects such as political corruption, and domestic violence, noting that her songs are about how to work through such conflicts.

In 2018, she appeared in “The King,” a documentary about Elvis Presley that was nominated for a Grammy, and featured stars including Alec Baldwin, Ashton Kutcher, Emmylou Harris, and Rosanne Cash.

A concert review says:

“EmiSunshine's show was a stunner. [She] . . . has power, emotion, humor, pathos and tremendous talent. She has complete control on the stage.”

EmiSunshine will appear at The Ludlow Garage in Cincinnati at 8:30 pm on November 12. Flyer printing can provide handouts to advertise events like this.
